Stony Brook Ophthalmology is the clinical practice of the Department of Ophthalmology at the Stony Brook University School of Medicine and Stony Brook University Medical Center. Clinical Services

Overview
The Department of Ophthalmology (and its clinical practice, Stony Brook Ophthalmology) at Stony brook University Medical Center is a fully integrated multi-specialty ophthalmic group offering a wide range of ophthalmic services. We are committed to providing the highest quality care to patients with all types of eye diseases and visual problems. We strive to educate and advise patients about their specific eye problems, to communicate with the referring healthcare providers, in order to provide timely, well-coordinated care, and to treat our patients with efficiency, respect and compassion.

The department is organized to provide the following clinical services:

General ophthalmology service
Neuro-ophthalmology service
Vitreoretinal service
Cornea and anterior segment service
Glaucoma service
Ocularplastics and reconstructive service
Pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus service
Optometric service
Oculoplastics
Ocular/Orbital Oncology

These services are directed by members of the full-time faculty, all of whom are board certified and fellowship trained.
